Position: Virtual Real Estate Marketing Assistant

About This Position: Work from home to support our team located in Schaumburg, IL with any work over-flow. We are NOT looking for another company or agency, we are looking for support staff to an already strong office team. This position would be ideal for a stay at home parent or another individual who wants to work from home. Maybe you're looking for a part time job to supplement your income? Maybe you used to be in the Real Estate Industry but have determined a commission based income isn't working for you. If so, keep reading...

The Virtual Marketing Assistant would be classified as an Independent Contractor and would work from their home office on an "as needed" basis to support our team with any overflow of work. If the individual proves themselves, they may be assigned regular, reoccurring daily, weekly and/or monthly tasks. We have several team members who work between 20-40+ hours from home.

Starting off, they would just need to have a flexible schedule to fit our needs as we have work overflow. The Independent Contractor would be required to come into our Schaumburg office for training for the first few weeks, as needed, and then any other work to be completed by the Independent Contractor would be done at their home office. The more flexible the Independent Contractor can be to come into the office to train on more advanced tasks, the more work we can assign him or her. Some in-office training will be required regardless of skill level, so please only submit an application if in-office training in Schaumburg IL is workable into your current schedule. Remote training can also be completed but you will be limited to a smaller scope of tasks, limiting your potential for maximum hours.

Examples of work that would be assigned can include but are not limited to: Execute marketing activities/efforts (online & print) for our clients. Here are a few examples:

  • Real Estate Copywriting: Website content, press releases, blogs, newsletters, biographies, etc.
  • Writing creative/descriptive ad copy
  • Entering the listings into the MLSs all over the USA where allowed (Multiple Listing Service)
  • Resizing and enhancing photos
  • Adding the home's listing to the clients website, corporate website and various social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
  • Adding their listings to other real estate websites such as: Craigslist, Zillow, Point2, Homes.com, Trulia, etc.
  • Enhancing their listings on REALTOR.com with 25 photos, headlines, enhanced ad copy, special message, open house info, etc.
  • Creating online/software based Visual Tours
  • Creating a Home Brochure/Flyer and Just Listed Postcard, (templates already designed)
  • Dropping content into a client's website or electronic presentation
  • Other Projects as determined by our work load and your skill set

Various weekly and monthly reoccurring tasks include:

  • Creating and sending email blasts
  • Researching and creating eNewsletters
  • Reporting on web hits for our client's home listings and sending to their clients directly
  • Reposting Craigslist and Postlets ads

Other projects that may come up:

  • General Internet Research on various Real estate related topics
  • Snail mail campaigns (Creating letters, merging, stuffing and mailing)
  • Marketing campaigns
  • Placing ads online

You must have excellent time management skills! You must be an EFFICIENT multi-tasker!

Requirements:

  • VERY Savvy with the Internet and Technology
  • SUPERIOR customer service skills
  • EXCELLENT communication both verbally and written
  • TEAM oriented and hardworking
  • MUST NOT be a licensed Realtor or Broker due to conflict of interests with our many clients
  • ABILITY to purchase required software in order to manipulate print marketing templates, create virtual tours and enhance websites if not already owned, training on the below items is provided.

Examples of software to be used include but are not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Visual Tour Studio, Adobe Dreamweaver, iWork (Mac), MSOffice Suite including MSPublisher. Owning more software leads to a greater variety of tasks that can be assigned which increased the amount of workload the Independent Contractor can accept or be assigned.

Knowledge and Equipment:

  • OWN a Mac Computer or be willing to purchase one is a HUGE PLUS however a PC-user could complete a variety of tasks.
  • Experience working in a real estate office or marketing firm is a HUGE PLUS
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is a PLUS
  • Basic HTML knowledge is a HUGE PLUS
  • Copywriting/Real Estate Copywriting Experience a HUGE PLUS!
